From a young age, I knew that my purpose in life was to care for others, though I didn’t initially realize that it would lead me down the path of becoming a nurse. Nevertheless, I am immensely grateful that life guided me towards this fulfilling profession.

As a registered nurse, my passion for providing top-notch patient care has profoundly influenced by perspective on problem-solving.  My career started as a staff nurse, and over the course of multiple years, I managed hemodialysis clinics and acute programs.  Building on that experience, I spent an additional nine years as the Director of Clinical Services for a national provider.  In this role, I was responsible for ensuring survey readiness, supporting clinical outcomes, and implementing and supporting education initiatives.

A significant milestone in my career was the opportunity to take my expertise internationally for one year.  During this time, I engaged in due diligence, established education programs and implemented quality assurance measures in clinics across Asia, India, Europe, and the Middle East.

Beyond spearheading the creating of SurveyWise, I am also deeply involved as the Co-Owner and Managing Director of ScheduleWise, a web-based workflow management tool designed to help clinics achieve their clinical, safety and productivity objectives.  The success of ScheduleWise is evident in its adoption by over 2,200 clinics.

Education has played a vital role in shaping my professional growth.  I completed my Masters in Healthcare Innovation from Arizona State University, where I honed my skills in generating innovative ideas to enhance the lives of patients and caregivers.  So passionate was my attachment to this programs that I later returned as an instructor to share my knowledge with others.

I have had the privilege to present on various national platforms, sharing insights on survey readiness, safe and efficient patient and staff scheduling, and maximizing productivity within dialysis clinics.  This opportunity to impart knowledge is one I cherish, as it allows me to contribute to the well-being of both patients and healthcare staff.

Outside of my professional life, I find joy in various crafty pursuits.  Whether it’s creating personalized items for family and friends using an embroidery or Cricut machines, I cherish the process of making meaningful gifts.  Additionally, I am an avid traveler who relishes the opportunity to explore different cultures and connect with people from around the world.

My family holds a special place in my heart.  My husband, Gary, and I have both dedicated over twenty-five years to the dialysis industry, bringing our diverse perspectives together to develop innovative ideas that positively impact the renal community.  Alongside my husband, I am blessed with three grown sons, three daughters-in-law, a granddaughter, and four grandsons, making my life outside of work all the more fulfilling and joyful.
